The nelson hotel…
Welcome to the Nelson Hotel. Established in 1855, this quintessential little Victorian pub is located close to the border of South Australia, and in one of the most picturesque areas of Victoria.
Nelson is beautifully situated at the mouth of the Glenelg River, on the Oxbow estuary Lake, and a few minutes to the beach, surrounded by National Park and state forests
The Hotel sits down in a lovely hollow, just off the main road, on the corner, where the river and the lake meet.
what we do…
The Hotel is the only licenced premises (including bottle-shop takeaways), and eat-in restaurant in Nelson, doing pub bistro meals for lunch and dinner. As well as pizzas which are available all day, along with sandwiches and takeaway meals, which if you want to eat while chatting to a local, or to us at the bar, we will happily accommodate.
We cater for special occasions, and can cater your entire food needs for the length of your stay.

All year round Nelson is stunning, and there are two distinct ‘flavours’ to Nelson, one is Summer, the other is Winter.
